Dear Prospective Attorney:

Thank you for the opportunity to answer your questions regarding admission to East Bay Law School. Below, I will provide answers to frequently asked questions. To be eligible for admission to East Bay Law School, you must have accumulated a minimum of 60 units of credit from an accredited college or university. Generally speaking, a B. A. is preferred. Transfer students are welcome. Additional information and a catalog can be obtained by calling (510) 835-7999.

Typically, students take approximately 9 units a semester, allowing them to graduate with a Juris Doctor degree in four years. The tuition is affordable at $325 per semester unit. No financial aid is available. Upon the passing of the First Year Law Students' Examination and thereafter successfully completing all courses of study, students are eligible to take the California General Bar Examination. Success on the California General Bar Examination enables graduates to be admitted to practice law in California.

East Bay Law School is registered with the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California. Temporary approval has been granted by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education, which regulates all schools and colleges in California. At our conveniently located, beautiful lake view campus, we accept regular, special, and transfer students.

The typical student entering East Bay Law School is over 30 years of age, and working full time. Students can expect excellent, interactive instruction and tutoring by student-friendly lawyers; approximately nine hours of instruction each week; Bar exam preparation and legal writing classes; an on-site law library; and a quiet place to study. To "sample" law school, prospective students are welcome to attend a Thursday night information session, make a campus tour, and/or audit any of our classes.

Please review the material, and call (510) 835-7999 to speak with a representative about any additional questions that you may have. If you would like to apply for admission to East Bay Law School, complete and submit the online application, along with the non--refundable application fee of $95.

DONATIONS SECTION: As part of our ongoing efforts to make our law school a significant resource to the East Bay community, we are trying to engage those individuals or organizations who can help us fund certain aspects of our law school.

All law schools rely, at least in part, on donations as part of their annual budget. Because East Bay Law School is a relatively new institution, it cannot make use of an alumni association.

Thus, we need the help of the community in raising funds to help make the law school powerful in its mission to provide educational opportunities to the working communities of the bay area.

If you are interested in contributing, follow the process below.
